EFAA (European Federation of Accountants and Auditors for Small & Medium-sized Enterprises) is Europe's leading umbrella organization for national accounting and auditing bodies having specific focus on small & medium-sized accountancy & audit practices (SMPs). Planned expansion of the Federation has created an opportunity for a Technical Manager to be based in Brussels. An initial 2 year contract is envisaged. Candidates should have good working knowledge of English as well as another European language. The work involved will centre around the evolution of harmonized standards of Accounting, Auditing, Education and Ethics throughout Europe and further afield. Due consideration to the pronouncements and requests for input of Standard- Setters, European Parliament and Commission, other umbrella organizations and EFAA members will lead to the Technical Manager making submissions to the CEO, EFAA Board and various Expert Groups. Attendance upon discussion groups of members and outside bodies will arise The ideal candidate should possess good understanding of accountancy practice skills and be able to clearly articulate in English to an International audience.
