Objectives and Strategy
Our main objective is to ensure that the interests of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and the interests of the small and medium-sized accounting and audit practitioners (SMPs) who serve them are effectively represented and considered at European level.
In this perspective, EFAA focuses on becoming increasingly influential in the EU and internationally. EFAA will achieve that by
- monitoring the work of the EU institutions,
- influencing legislation and regulation to reflect SME concerns,
- building contacts with the European Commission and relevant institutions,
- co-operating with other European representative organisations,
- participating in the technical work of EU committees.
In doing so, EFAA, together with its member bodies, provides high quality comments on all relevant issues as to SMEs and SMPs. A strong communication policy is being implemented to better serve those objectives.
